ORLEN Deutschland builds modern fuel station in industrial area in Gera

06-06-2025

ORLEN Deutschland has opened a state-of-the-art star fuel station at Am Steingarten in Gera. This brand-new facility features the latest fuelling technology and offers more than just refuelling: in addition to a spacious shop and bistro area, it provides dedicated services for truck drivers, including generous parking spaces and modern sanitary facilities.

The site in the Gera-Hermsdorf industrial estate is around 11,300 square metres in size. Customers will find all common fuels and three refuelling points for AdBlue at the four fuel pumps. The HVO100 climate diesel will also be available at two fuel pumps. HVO100 (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oils) is produced from residual and waste materials (vegetable oils) and can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90 per cent. In addition, the alternative diesel fuel burns cleaner and has a positive effect on air quality by reducing pollution. HVO100 is suitable for diesel vehicles that have been approved by the vehicle manufacturer without conversion - which is almost all vehicle models these days. For professional drivers, there is a so-called ‘high-speed diesel refuelling station’, which allows trucks to refuel particularly quickly.

A modern shop spanning approximately 130 square metres has been established at Am Steingarten, offering a diverse selection of own-brand products alongside well-known brands. The own-brand range is marketed under the Group’s 'star' brand and stands out for its high quality at fair prices. Intentionally separated from the retail area, the star café provides a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests to linger. It offers a wide selection of hot and cold snacks throughout the day, with plenty of seating and a large outdoor terrace.

Owing to its strategic location with direct connectivity to the B2 main road and immediate access to the A4 motorway at the Gera junction, the fully equipped station serves as an optimal base for truck drivers. Modern sanitary facilities with customer WCs and showers are also available for this customer group on the spacious fuel station site with generously sized parking spaces.
