ORLEN Deutschland is extending its commitment as main sponsor of the Chopin Festival Hamburg for the next three years. The Chopin Festival Hamburg will take place for the 7th time from 12 June to 19 July 2025 - but for the first time it will begin in the traditional Laeiszhalle. The festival will present prizewinners of international Chopin competitions as well as participants in the 19th International Chopin Competition, which will be held in Warsaw in October 2025.

This year's festival will open under the patronage of the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Hamburg with a piano recital by Charles Richard-Hamelin, silver medallist and winner of the Krystian Zimerman Prize at the 17th International Chopin Competition Warsaw 2015 in the Small Hall of the Laeiszhalle on 12 June 2025 at 8 pm. The five-week festival includes six concerts, a Chopin marathon and two masterclasses for students.
"Through our long-standing commitment to the Chopin Festival in Hamburg, we aim not only to build a cultural bridge between Germany and Poland but also to foster long-term cooperation between the two nations," says Dariusz Kwieciński
Senior Executive Director at ORLEN Deutschland GmbH.
The aim of the 2025 festival is to build an international bridge to the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, which will take place from 2nd to 23rd October 2025 at the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw. The competition is sponsored by ORLEN S. A., the parent company of ORLEN Deutschland. ORLEN Deutschland would also like to use its cultural sponsorship specifically to further strengthen German-Polish cooperation in the cultural sector.
The festival, with ORLEN Deutschland as the main sponsor, has been organised annually since 2018 and has become an integral part of Hamburg's cultural landscape. It is the only piano festival in the Hanseatic city where the concert pieces are played on both historical and modern grand pianos.
